A widebody aircraft is a large commercial airliner with a fuselage wide enough to accommodate two passenger aisles side by side. These jets typically carry 250 or more passengers and are built for long-haul routes or high-capacity hub operations.

How It Works#

The defining feature of a widebody is its cabin cross-section. A standard widebody fuselage measures roughly 5.5 to 6.5 meters (18 to 21 feet) in diameter. That width allows two aisles running the length of the cabin, with seating arranged in configurations such as 2-4-2 or 3-3-3 across.
