Aviatopia uses privacy-preserving analytics to measure aggregated traffic and content interactions. We do not use Google Analytics.

Self-hosted Umami#

Aviatopia uses a self-hosted Umami instance for website analytics. Umami is configured without analytics cookies, session replay, heatmaps, or persistent user identifiers.

Umami may collect information such as:

  • Page views and navigation paths
  • Approximate visitor counts
  • Referrers and marketing campaign parameters (for example UTM tags)
  • Browser, device, and general geographic categories
  • Custom interaction events (for example search usage buckets and table-of-contents clicks)

Analytics data are stored on infrastructure controlled by Aviatopia. We do not send names, email addresses, or account identifiers to Umami.

Vercel Web Analytics (temporary)#

During a comparison period, Aviatopia also uses Vercel Web Analytics for aggregated, cookie-free usage measurement. This layer may collect similar high-level traffic metrics. Custom events are mirrored to both Umami and Vercel while the comparison runs.

If enabled and you accept the analytics cookie category in our cookie banner, PostHog may load for product analytics. PostHog uses cookies and loads only with your consent.

The information collected across these tools is used solely for:

  • Website performance monitoring
  • Understanding visitor behavior in aggregate
  • Improving site content and usability

4. Cookies#

Cookies are small files stored on your device that help websites function and improve user experience.
