Definition#

POH stands for Pilot's Operating Handbook (or AFM — Airplane Flight Manual in some jurisdictions). It is the manufacturer-produced, authority-approved manual for a specific aircraft, containing operating limitations, normal and emergency procedures, and performance data.

Why It Matters Operationally#

The POH is the definitive reference for V-speeds, weight limits, CG envelopes, takeoff and landing performance charts, and emergency checklists. Its data supersedes any other source.
